My husband and I took 6 grandchildren on a 2 day trip to San Antonio. We found Red Roof Inn very courteous and a good place to stay for the rate. They were able to give us two rooms with a door that connected the rooms which made our stay much easier. We were within walking distance of the Alamo, Mall, imax etc. The parking was only $5.00 a day which was cheaper than most downtown motels. Overall, I would stay there again.
location to the alamo
kids kids noisey kids
Location to Riverwalk and price.
It wasnt the cleanest thing ever and the halls were incredibly loud with groups of kids...
This is a good place to stay if you have a car (the parking only costs 5 dls). The location is good (although if you want to get to the riverwalk by walk, you have to cross the freeway and walk two very long blocks) and the room is ok.
The so-called grab-a-go breakfast is very poor: there is no milk, cereal, yogurt, and of course no eggs, warm bread, etc. It would be better if they warned you that there is no real breakfast included in the price. On the other hand, we were not able to make phone calles outside the area of San Antonio from the room, even though they said that this was possible.
It is an ok motel in the middle of the city. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night because of room price to visit the Alamo which is a few blocks away.
parking rate, parking garage, location close to downtown
service a little weird at the front desk, poor breakfast, no place to sit with kids
It was clean and the location was great to the Alamo, the River Walk, and the Alamo Center. Great Hotel for the money.
The hotel was comfortable and well-run. The staff did all they could to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. This was a great value for the price - including charging only $5/night parking whereas other hotels were/are charging $20/ night or more. The location is fine since it is a 10 -15 minute walk to the nearest entrance to the RiverWalk, however, even that is long when it is 102°!
The only thing we found not up to the other standards of the hotel was the breakfast. A bit of protein (hard boiled egg?) would have been appreciated.
it was okay just had alot of bike riders staying there and they kept reving up there bike's for a part of the night and we couldn't sleep other than that the stay was ok. i would recommend this hotel.
just the noise of the traffic and bike riders.
I came there for a conference. I didn't know there was a "Fiesta" happening. The staff over the frontdesk gave me lots of information about the festival. Very friendly. The price was reasonable and the location is only 10 min walk to the convention center. Highly recommended to those who will join a conference in downtown San Antonio.
The room keys and the easy parking nice room for the money
The location was great, staff was nice, and our view from the 6th floor was incredible!!
Our safe did not work and even after 3 calls no one came to fix it!!!
Friendly staff. Close to downtown Riverwalk without paying the high price. Not a luxury hotel but clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
This hotel is located within a ten minute walk of the Alamo and River Walk making it handy for exploring the downtown area. The room itself was large and comfortable and the staff were friendly.
I was really impressed by the staff members at the hotel- they were really nice and helpful, and made my stay very pleasant.
